My name is Luxolo Galelimali from Brandeston, and I am part of the Ubomi Bonke Programme.

Growing up, I often struggled with self-belief and confidence. I constantly doubted myself and my abilities, which affected how I viewed my future and the opportunities around me. However, through the support of the Ubomi Bonke Programme and the lessons I have learned, my perspective on life has changed.

The programme has helped me build confidence in myself and taught me the importance of believing in my own potential. I have learned valuable life skills that continue to guide me in making positive decisions and looking towards the future with hope.

In my small community, there are many challenges that young people face. One of the biggest challenges is the lack of educational resources and opportunities for learning. As a result, some young men lose direction and become involved in alcohol abuse.

I take care of my mental health by staying active and being mindful of the people I surround myself with. Choosing positive friendships and healthy activities helps me stay focused and motivated.
