OUT OF THE SHADOWS - Ubunye's work with young women

'Gender inequality and violence in South Africa', a panel discussion organised by the French Embassy, Cape Town

8 February 2022, Ubunye brought gender inequality and gender based violence out of the shadows in what was described as a "powerful" presentation on the experiences of women in the Lelethu and Ikamva Lolutsha programmes. Zimkitha Mgcokonca, a graduate of both programmes presented from behind a white screen. All the audience could see her was her shadow on the screen as she 'acted out' the feelings and experiences of women in the programmes.
