SA AIDS Conference 2025: Avuzwa's Blog 8

Day 3 of the conference.

Wow! I'm feeling so giddy and proud of myself. We also attended a session at 11:00 where we learnt about the LENACAPAVIR injection and where it will be available at.

We then went to prepare and invite people for our presentation. We met many people from different organisations,like Mr Rod Ndhlovu from Girl Effect who told us more about their work and that they have a chatbot called BIG SIS that gives advices to girls.

I then started my presentation at 15:30. I was so nervous. Ms Una from One on One Afrika came to support us. I also presented to some ladies from the Office of the Premier GP who then invited me tomorrow to fetch goodies from them. I also met Mr Phumezo Mhletywa from the Department of Education who was very impressed with the presentation and the work that UBUNYE does.

This was a very eye opening experience and I'm absolutely glad that I got the opportunity.
