Today I shared my opinions on how to support people who are living with HIV, how to end stigma and I gave pointers on how to implement that in our communities.
I participated because I have realised that in our communities we're actually still facing stigma and discrimination against people who are living with HIV. How I wish our people had the willingness to learn about HIV because that was the case then we wouldn't be having cases of people who are not taking their treatment. If only our people could only realise that living with HIV isn't the of the world one and one could lead a healthy lifestyle, the world would be so much better to live in.
This is Luuk, actually he made me realise that as long as people are still not keen to learn about HIV then stigma will still continue in our communities. It's actually sad to see people live their lives in a way that will only bring harm to them because they have fears of being discriminated. I believe that we really need to do better.
