First Note to the Future: Meet the Stars of our Concert

Bukhobethu Saba, a grade 5 learner from Fort Brown Primary School started his music journey when the programme started in February. Bukho has been a brilliant music student who has grasped the concept of music really fast and understood both music theory and practical. He has been very helpful with helping the other students during weekends.

"The first time I saw the recorder, I was amazed with the sound that it made, and it was my first time seeing it. I got very interested in learning more. I remember my first lesson playing the recorder, I struggled a lot, and I told myself that I will push myself and I will not quit till I am able to play. Now I am able to read music and play songs like Silent night and Amazing grace. Music has taught me discipline

I am very excited about the concert, this will be my first time playing for people, and it excites me that my mother will be there to watch me. I am looking forward to playing my solo piece, I have been practising hard and I am ready to play it in front of people" Bukho shared
