"We Need to Dream" : Avuzwa Tini Leads the Way For Young Women at SA AIDS Conservation

Avuzwa Tini, 18 years, is a youth HIV Ambassador for the Ubomi Bethu programme. She will be representing this programme at the SAAIDS conference at the Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg from 8-11 September 2025. Ubunye’s dedication to community leadership ensures that programme members, like Avuzwa have the opportunity to go to conferences and present on the Ubomi Bethu programme. She will be presenting on 10th September between 16:30 and 16;55 in the poster section of the conference. Please come and listen to what she has to say. Her poster is entitled “We need dreams!” Building Life Skills and Life Plans to reduce our risk of HIV by young women living in rural villages in Nqushwa Municipality, Eastern Cape of South Africa. It can be found in Track 3 - Implementation science and strengthening health systems for HIV prevention, treatment and adherence.
